Come to the shop!

We primarily meet at East Ridge in their metal shop. We meet every Monday – Friday from 5pm to 9pm, and every Saturday from 12pm to 5pm.

Directions

We meet at East Ridge High School:

4200 Pioneer Dr.
Woodbury, MN

Classroom 1045 / Door 26

The shop can be accessed from inside the school via classroom 1045, or from outside the school via door 26. Classroom 1045 is down the hallway to your right inside the Activities entrance, past the set of double doors. Door 26 is around the back of the school.

We recommend parking out back and entering via door 26, but please make sure to park in a marked space.

Dates

We meet every Monday – Friday from 5pm to 9pm, and Saturdays from 12pm to 5pm. We do not meet on Sundays.

Meals

Parents provide meals for the students every evening during the build season. Information can be found on the East Ridge Robotics website. For any questions about meals, contact our meal coordinator Alicia Okeson at tconlin_aokeson@msn.com.

Shop mentors

We have a very short timeline: we design and build an entire robot in only six weeks. We therefore ask parents to occasionally help supervise shop activities to keep students on task.

Sign up to be a shop mentor here. No prior technical experience is required.

Expectations

We expect all students to show up regularly, to participate in team activities, to focus on the work assigned to them, and to always contribute to the team’s goal of building a competitive robot. Detailed expectations can be found in our team manual.
